How the index is built.

Every chart is computed from real container moves recorded by TruckerZoom patrons for each category: Local, Regional, and OTR in the intermodal (IMDL) segment.

Segments

Trips are bucketed by distance: Local up to 80 mi, Regional 80 to 160 mi, OTR over 160 mi.

Cadence

The index updates weekly. The interactive view lets you scrub through any custom window in the available history.

Privacy

Numbers are aggregated across the network. No single carrier, broker or shipper is identifiable in published rates.
